Since it was the last day I decided to go out in style, margarita pizza for breakfast and lunch and a Parma ham for dinner.
Well what have I been up to…
Wednesday we headed to a new track in Blausasc, which was awesome. It was real fast, amazing corners, drops, massive compressions and just so much fun to ride, we banged out 15 runs and Olie and I did some timing and we were so close. I was on a 1 43.11 and he was on a 1 43.18 just .07 separated us.
Thursday we headed back to Sospel, it was pretty cool, I just rode the steep gnarly “Champery style” track and did some timing myself, pushing harder and harder. In the late afternoon it started to rain super heavy and I decided to leave it at that, the track from being so dry become super sketchy and with limited sets of kit I called it a day and drove for Olie and Dominik.
Friday was our last day and rode at San Romolo, but this time a different track, it was pretty fun I had a late start as I had to rebuild a wheel in the morning. We did a cool 5 runs before I headed back to stay with the Abarth boys, we headed to what would be our last Italian restaurant of the trip and it wasn’t a let-down, it was probably the best pizza and pasta I have ever had.
Well to sum it up I have had a pretty awesome trip, good food, lots of riding, bikes feeling amazing and I’m looking forward to my race season kicking off now. As I type this I’m currently in Nice airport ready to fly home and tomorrow I’ll be at Ae forest for the first SDA.
