We are no joined by Abarth MTB team of Olie Burton, John Holbrook and Micheal O'brien, we have had two days riding with them and it's been a lot better, cut my shuttling runs, down meaning more runs on the hill.
On Thursday we rode at a track near Fabien Barels hom, Peille, it was awesome really Rocky, fast and pretty challenging! I finished setting up my bike and made some pretty big changes. I'm running it softer front and rear and also changed to Renthals 38mm rise fatbar, the difference is amazing and i instantly loved it! With a rally preventing us using San Romollo hill for shuttling I met a new challenge, a bus on a single track ride, some pretty gnarly reversing and 10 minutes later it was passed.
Friday we went to a spot called Sospel in France, this track was awesome so fast and rough, we also found a 'secret' track that was like Champery, steep and awesome turns. The track was so rough and I ended up getting 3 punctures out of my 8 runs with a group total of 10. This has probably been my favourite place so far with Peille a close second.
As we headed to an Italian track today, we took a mountainous route, only to lead to the start of the first historic rally stage, we made it all the way to the start line. Luckily we were able to turn around and did so on the start line of the rally just before the next car set off!
Looking forward to heading to San Romollo again tomorrow.
